I've got a little sister!

I went to pick up Hannah at school before going to the agency to get the referral. She happened to be in the bathroom when I got there, so I had a chance to take her aside in the hallway, and show her the referral photo in private. I had told her we might get it, so it wasn't a huge surprise to her. I was a little worried about her reaction, because she has been an only child for 3 1/2 years. However, she came through, and had the most amazing reaction. I wish I had the forethought to have taken the video camera with me. When she saw the photo, an instant grin appeared on her face. Then the giggle started. Then she took the picture out of my hand and ran down the hall at full speed back into her classroom shouting "I have a little sister!"

I don't think I have ever been so proud, both of her, and of our new daughter. What a priceless moment.
